Planners like Frederick Law Olmsted argued that green were essential for the physical and mental well-being of urban residents. These parks were designed to provide a natural from the noise and pollution of the industrial environment. Beyond their aesthetic value, urban parks play a role in improving local air quality and reducing the heat island effect. They also serve as vital for urban wildlife and help manage stormwater runoff. Today, the focus has shifted toward creating more and accessible parks for all members of the community. Sustaining these areas requires investment and support from both the public and private sectors.
